John Bolen / Owner
John Bolen, was born in Rittman, Ohio where he received his B/S in Education from Kent State University. John also played college and semi-pro football in northeastern Ohio for the Akron Bulldogs.

John has been a teacher for 18 years and a resident of Martin County for 19 years.

He has taught physical education at Crystal Lake Elementary from 1988-1995, and at MCHS from 1995-1997. John has been teaching physical education at Port Salerno elementary school from 1997 to present date, and has also been teaching drivers education at MCHS from 1990 to present date. John has also coached MCHS baseball from 1987-1994, and MCHS football from 1988-1997, and again from 1999 to 2001.

John has many areas of interest which include his family, playing drums, and woodworking.

When asked, "why do you enjoy teaching drivers education?" John responded, "I like teaching students valuable skills which they can use the rest of their lives, along with giving my students full confidence in all aspects of driving."

John Bolen is certified to teach all classes that ATCDSI offers.


Ed Geiger / Instructor
Ed Geiger, Was born in Ottawa, Illinois, and attended college at Florida Atlantic University from 1990-1994. Where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Education, Ed is an Ex-Marine and served in Desert Storm.

He has been teaching driving for 11 years and also a resident of Martin County for 11 years. He has taught ESE at Stuart Middle School, and he has been the head coach for MCHS & Fort Pierce Central High School Football Teams. Ed will be an assistant coach at W.T. Dywer in Jupiter starting in 2005.

Ed has many areas of interest which include being with his family, Football, Football and yes of course more FOOTBALL!!!

When asked, "Why do you enjoy teaching Drivers Education?" Ed responded, "It's nice to take a student who knows very little about driving and mold them into a solid proficient driver who understands what they are doing at all times."

The areas Ed Geiger will be giving ON-ROAD lessons are from Palm Beach to Hobe Sound/Stuart. Ed is also the classroom Instructor for A, B, C, D classes of the full package program. Ed is also certified to teach any classes at ATCDSI.


Skip Morgan / Instructor
Skip Morgan, Was born in Shreveport, La, and attended college at Northwestern State in Louisiana from 1970-1974, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Education.

Skip has been teaching for 33 years and a resident of Martin County for 19 years.

He has taught Physical Education and Drivers Education at MCHS and is also a Key Club Sponsor. He also coached Wrestling at MCHS in 1996, and has been the Head Coach for Boy's Tennis at MCHS from 1988 to present. Skip has also coached Football at MCHS from 1988 til 2002.

Skip has many areas of interest, which include fishing and all sports.

When asked, "Why do you like teaching Drivers Education?", Skip responded' "I like teaching students who don't know much about driving and turning them into drivers who will be safe and follow the rules of the road."

Skip is also a backup classroom Instructor and does "On Road" lessons in Palm City, Stuart, Sewall's Point & Jensen Beach.


Susan / Instructor
Susan Johnson was born in Denver Colorado and graduated from Southern Colorado State College with a B/S in education.

Susan has been a teacher for 30 years and all of her teaching assignments have been in St Lucie County. She is currently teaching 3rd grade at Windmill Point Elementary and has taught 2nd grade in the past

Reading, playing bridge and being with her family make up Susan's spare time.

Susan is our ADAPT, SDAPP, and ADI instructor and works primarily out of the Stuart office, and the Port Saint Lucie office.


George Mac Arthur / Instructor
George Mac Arthur was born in Boston, Massachusetts and graduated from Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1973.

This is his 4th year teaching in the public school system. Last year George taught at Vision Quest, a juvenile detention center for girls in Okeechobee County. George is currently teaching at Highlands Elementary School in Vero Beach.

George likes to play scrabble, watch the history channel, swim, and loves the beach.

When asked, "Why do you like teaching Drivers Education?", George explained that he likes teaching Drivers Education because he knows that he can save lives with the proper instruction. He particularly likes teaching on the road, it is an opportunity to work with students one on one. After large class sizes in the public school, working in the car with one student is a refreshing change. The students are enthusiastic and the learning curve is dramatic.


Jodi / Instructor
Jodi Conti was born in Des Moines , Iowa . Jodi attended Iowa State University - B.S. (PE Dance) FAU - El. Ed added on ESOL towards 15 + Masters.

Jodi has been teaching for 30 years and has been teaching in St. Lucie County for 18 years.
She is also a Realtor for First Co. of Vero Beach for 18 years.

Jodi has taught P.E. all grades K-12 and El Ed. P.E., 4 TH and 5 th grade. She has coached Volleyball, Golf, Basketball, Swimming, Track and Field and Tennis.

Her main hobbies and interest are plating Tennis and her 2 Labrador 's (Maggie and Beamer)

When asked, "Why do you enjoy teaching drivers education?" Jodi responded, "I like the one on one in the car and I enjoy seeing everyone be safer on the road"

Jobs performed at ATCDSI are On Road Instructor in Vero Beach and Ft. Pierce. Jodi also runs ATCDSI's program at St. Ed's High School.


Bob MacGilliuray / Instructor
Bob is currently teaching classroom Drivers Ed. At South Folk High School for his first year.

Has had a long and interesting career in Sales, Sales Promotion, Marketing and Advertising. After serving in the U.S.M.C he received an Honorable Discharge and started out in Sales with a major Soap Company. He went from Territory Salesman to District then Regional Management and ultimately was again promoted to assist the company Director of Marketing. In all phases of Sales Training, Merchandising, promotion, food marketing and advertising.

He attended St. Joseph's College in Philadelphia, PA where he was born. He also completed Charles Morris Price School of Advertising and Journalism and later worked for the Walpirt Company, an advertising agency in Cherry Hill New Jersey as an account executive. Some of his clients included: Mobil Chemical, Lipton….etc.

Bob moved permanently to South Florida in 1975. For 30 years he sold automobiles and got sales records for Chevrolet earning him the coveted status of “Legion of Leaders” each year for fifteen years.

He lives in Hobe Sound and enjoys going to the gym, swimming, motorcycle riding and hurricane home repair. He also helps his son in the restoration of classic muscle cars.

Jobs performed at ATCDSI are that he teaches the ADAPT and SDAPP classes.

When asked, "Why do you enjoy teaching drivers education?" Bob responded, “I recall how at age 15 I was bitten by the car bug. I wanted to drive. I made a few mistakes including buying and driving a car that I was too young to own. I taught myself to drive...Neither the police or my parents thought that was such a good idea. I had to sell the car and wait until I could get a license and drive legally! It is important to understand the burning desire that young folks have…and how important it is to get them started the proper way with both classroom and on the road Hands On Training. I enjoy helping them get started on the right footing“


Trent Minch / Instructor

Trent Minch was born in Vero Beach, Florida. Trent has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida.

He has been a public school teacher for 8 years and resides in Brevard County.
Trent has been an on road instructor with A Treasure Coast Driving School for 6 years.
He currently is teaching Driver’s Education at Merritt Island High School in Brevard County and also coaches the freshman football team.

Trent’s interests and hobbies are landscaping, wood working, sports, and coaching football.

When asked, "Why do you enjoy teaching drivers education?" Trent responded, "Because there is a great feeling in knowing that you have an influence in making them a safe and responsible driver.”

Trent is an On Road Instructor in Merritt Island and runs the Driver’s Education program at Merritt Island High School.


Samantha / Office Manager
Samantha was born in Hammond Indiana and moved to Stuart area 19 years ago with her parents.

Sam graduated from Martin County High School and has been with ATCDSI for 2 years.

Sam played softball and powder puff football for the Tigers.

She enjoys Boating, Water Skiing and hanging out in her spare time.

Sam is the office manager at the Port St. Lucie office. She also does all of our ticket and citation downloads from 5 counties plus coordinates the ATCDSI program throughout the St. Lucie County School District.


Christina / Instructor
Christinai was born in Philadelphia, PA. She is currently teaching at Rosewood Magnet Elementary (PE) K-5.

Christina has taught for 13 years in Vero Beach.

Her hubby (Lou) is the Defensive Coordinator at Columbia College in New York.

She also taught in Ohio 4 years near Dayton.

Her hobbies and Interests are all sports, gardening and boating.

When asked, "Why do you enjoy teaching drivers education?" Christina responded, "It makes me feel better when I can start kids off on the right foot by teaching them the correct things to do while driving.”

Jobs performed at ATCDSI are all ADAPT, SDAPP, classes in Vero and does the classroom portion of St. Ed’s ATCDSI program.


Les Frank / Instructor / no photo
Les Frank was born in Louisville, KY. Les is a retired Police Officer from KY. He worked as a Police Officer for 30 years with the Louisville Police Department.

He also taught state traffic school in KY before moving to Florida for 25 years.

Les likes to relax when not working and is also involved in his church choir.

When asked, "Why do you enjoy teaching drivers education?" Les responded, "I feel like teaching is important because it helps save lives and promotes better driving from everyone.”

Jobs performed at ATCDSI are ADAPT and SDAPP classes in Port St. Lucie.


Konnie / Instructor
She is teaching at Port Salerno Elementary School (4th Grade) for 3 years. She has been a teacher for 11 years.

Konnie is our On Road Instructor for South Fork High School for the past 2 years.

She is from Newton, MA. and went to college at Framingham State.

She said "I love working with kids of all ages, but teaching teens to drive is one of the most satisfying jobs she has done."


Dorcas / Instructor
Dorcas is currently teaching at Martin County High School in the E.S.E Department.

Dorcas has taught in Martin County for 20 years.

Dorcas is in charge of the classroom program for ATCDSI at Martin County High School for her 3rd year.

Dorcas is the Class of 2007 sponsor, and also sponsors SADD/SWAT.

Dorcas said she enjoys teaching drivers education because it is real world stuff. Educated drivers are better drivers and she enjoys being part of that.


Rob Romano / Instructor
Rob is currently teaching at Jensen Beach High School He is has taught for 2 years in Martin County.

Rob’s hobbies and interests are weightlifting, football and baseball. Rob was also a football coach at JBITs for 2 years.

Rob has developed and sold many types of fitness equipment, and was in sales and marketing before teaching.

When asked, "Why do you enjoy teaching drivers education?" Rob responded, “I like teaching kids something that they can use forever, plus it reminds me daily of all the things that I must do to drive safely myself.”


Dot
Is from Bronx, New York and attended college at St. Joseph's.

She played soccer and volleyball in high school. She is also into martial arts and likes to bowl.

She teaches private on road lessons in St. Lucie County, and will be doing the on road lessons at one of the high schools in St. Lucie County for the upcoming school year of 2006-2007.


Brian Smith
Is a retired teacher from Ft. Lauderdale, where he taught in the public schools for 36 years.

Brian taught thousands of kids to drive an brings his expertise to ATCDSI.

He was a football and wrestling coach for many years, and his son is head wrestling coach at Missouri University.

Brian will be doing on road teaching at one of the high schools in St. Lucie County for the upcoming 2006-2007 school year.


Amy
Is a part time phone recptionist on the weekends and has been with ATCDSI for 1 year.

Amy attends IRCC and enjoys the beach and shopping.

Amy plans to major in education or business and be rich.
