Take one the following courses to receive your learner's permit depending on if you are under 18 years old (6 hour DETS) or over 18 years old (4 hour TLSAE)
ONLY If you are UNDER 18 you must 1st Step, (State Required) complete the 6 hour DETS course at our website below and 2nd Step (State Required) pass the learner's permit test (link all the way at the bottom) both available at our website. You can do one or both online if you wish.
After you complete either the 6 hour DETS course online for under18 / or the 4-hour TLSAE over18 online then you must pass the learner's permit test online with us see link at bottom as long as you are under the age of 18. IF you are over 18 you MUST GO LIVE TO A TAX COLLECTOR/DMV office , but either way you must prove who you are at a DMV office before you are issued a permit with your picture on it. Do not go to DMV unless you have the correct documents!!! View DMV document requirements. They will not help you with out the correct documents.

6-Hour Driver Education Traffic Safety (DETS) Online Course

Students under 18 must complete six hours of Driver Education Traffic Safety (DETS) and pass the online learner's permit test. This is the state-required course that helps you obtain a driver's license with confidence.

This is the 1st Step if you are OVER 18
4-Hour Alcohol Drugs Accident Prevention Training (ADAPT) Course
You must be 18 years or older to take this class.
This online course must be completed before taking the permit test and applying for a learner’s permit. This course is also required for licensed drivers under 21 years of age who have received a notice of suspension for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Upon finishing the class, we electronically send your completion confirmation to any DMV office in Florida.

This is the 2nd Step only if you are UNDER the age of 18, if over 18 you must go live to a TAX COLLECTOR/DMV office to take the learners permit test
Florida Learner's Permit Test Link (only UNDER 18)
This online class is mandatory for students under 18. If you are over 18, the learner's permit test can only be taken at the DMV.
The test contains 50 questions. Upon completing the test, you will be eligible to receive your learner's permit at a Florida DMV office. This test is approved by the Florida Department of Highway Safety Motor Vehicles.
